» Without legendary rapper/actor/poet Tupac Shakur then the world would not know of Keshia Chanté . When Keshia was 6 years old, she got her first performance by rapping to Tupac's "Dear Mama" and she got a standing ovation and at that point she knew she wanted to continue to perform. Keshia has numberously refered to Tupac in conversations about her career and even has a painting of him on her wall.

Aaliyah

» Influencing other young female artists like JoJo & Ciara, R&B singer Aaliyah has also influenced Keshia. Often compared to her by looks, Keshia has said that when she is in the shower, the song you can catch her singing is "Rock The Boat" by Aaliyah.
